Roxanne Hatter Receives Long Rifle Award

At this year's Trail of Tears District Banquet on March 6, 2010, the troop's own Roxanne Hatter was honored with the District Award of Merit, more commonly known as the Long Rifle Award.  The award is presented to Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at the district level.  To be considered for this award, a nominee must have rendered noteworthy service to youth in Scouting, outside Scouting, or both.
Also at the banquet, the troop received both the Quality Unit Award and the National Camping Award.

 
Will Rose Eagle Project


On February 27, 2010, scouts and leaders, including several Eagle scouts and leaders formerly with the troop,  pitched in to help Will Rose on his Eagle project, a memorial garden at Almaville Volunteer Fire Department, featuring a thirty foot tall flag pole.  Here are photos of the event:

Dyron Hatter's Eagle Court of Honor


Dyron Hatter held his Eagle Court of Honor at Stewarts Creek Church of Christ on February 13, 2010 at 2 PM.  At this ceremony, Dyron was presented his Eagle badge by Troop 422 Scoutmaster Charles King.  The Master of Ceremonies was Stanley Dunn, Troop 422's Unit Commissioner.  The Eagle Charge was made to Dyron by Brian McCord, Committee Chair of Dyron's Cub Scout pack, Pack 340.
